Breathing Cleaner Air- extend non-smoking zones outdoors!

I am very grateful for people not being allowed to smoke in malls any more.

I often take my son in the early morning to walk around before the stores open.
However, we're not always free from the smoker's poisons.
Entering and leaving through the mall doors, it is like getting hit in the face with a bad cloud of smoke!
I do not like that for me, but I especially detest it for my son. Why should we have to inhale these toxins when we're not smoking? If these people "need" their cigarettes so badly, then they SHOULD have to go further away. It's not worth it to jeopardize the vast majority's health.

From the 2nd article posted,
"If you ban smoking outside near a door or window, essentially
you have no place to smoke except your own home - and maybe not even there,"
Sullum says. "What's next? Smoking in a house with children will be considered
child abuse. Smoking around pets will be cruel to animals."

And yes, I do believe that smoking in the house with young children, or in the car with them, ir borderline abuse. After all, it IS putting poison into their bodies! Not to mention it leaves them defenseless and they can not do anything to protect their lungs and everything else.

I am all for Initiative 901! I hope that it passes. And then I hope it extends to more states. :)
