Tis' the Season...Already?!

Sure, it's only November. Halloween just ended.
We haven't even celebrated Thanksgiving yet, and there are already Christmas decorations in every store.

Heck, one of our local radio stations is already playing ALL Christmas music. I thought they used to wait until Thanksgiving, but not any more.

It seems that the holiday season has begun. Sort of. And now it's almost 60 days long!

I hear many people gripe about this. "Why do the stores have to rush things?!", or "Why can't people enjoy November and Thanksgiving?". Some people even go on to say "It's a shame."

IS IT?

After all, how many times during the holidays, especially Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, do we say "it goes too fast!". Or my mother's favorite, "it comes and goes before we know it!".

Well, now we have it longer.
It seems as though the holidays are here.

But that doesn't mean we have to "forget" Thanksgiving, or not respect it for what it means.
It is up to US to do that, not the stores. And truthfully speaking, just how many decorations can the stores offer for Thanksgiving?
Christmas is not even 2 months away. Many people are even already finished their Christmas shopping! (not me...Haven't even started!)

While I agree it seems early for all the Christmas talk and decor, and I even agree that some of the stores seem to push it too early, (or in this case, our radio station!), I can't say that I think it's TOO early in general. After all, it's us consumers and such that frequently say "it goes too fast"; "I can't believe it's already over"!
