Theologians Deny JPII is worthy of becoming a Saint

I find it crazy. Look at all the goodness that came from his Papacy! I am partial- I loved JPII. He was awesome. I miss him. I am pleased with Pope Benedict XVI, too, but there was just something about JPII.

This doesn't come as a shock:
While
the theologians acknowledged John Paul's papacy had "positive aspects," their
seven-point appeal included criticism of his rigidly conservative stand on such
issues as contraception, limitations on the role of women and the sex-abuse
scandal that has rocked the church.

Rigidly conservative? I think these theologians need to re-examine their consciences and teachings, themselves. It is not rigidly conservative- it is the rest of society that has become so darn liberal that they are blinded to the Truth.
Last
May, Pope Benedict put his predecessor on the fast track to possible sainthood
by dispensing with church rules that impose a five-year waiting period after a
candidate's death before the procedure that leads to sainthood can even
start.

I told you I liked Pope Benedict XVI! :)
