It's hip to be pregnant

Well, YES, it is hip and cool to be able to participate in creating a new life, grow it inside your own body, and then go through labor to deliver it. And then the real labor begins- loving that new person unconditionally through sleepless nights (many of them), sick days, tantrums, trials and tribulations. It's MUCH more hip to do it once you are already married, and when the parents actually opt to raise the baby, not some full-time hired mommy, er, nanny. (You know, the way celebrities do it!)

I understand why this article was printed- and I do agree. Every where we look lately pregnant celebrity couples are flashed in the media. Their pictures are all over the place. It drives me nuts how the majority of them are getting pregnant before married. Whether they like it or not, being in the spotlight all the time makes them role models- God help us.

That all irritates me, but not even so much as this statement about Brangelina's new baby,

"Not since Jesus has a baby been so eagerly anticipated," New York
magazine
wrote.

WOW. Talk about crossing the line! Makes my blood boil.
