Quick read: The Right's War on Contraception
Gloria Feldt, former president of Planned Parenthood, has a great piece about--you guessed it--the war on birth control. The whole article is fantastic, but this is my fave part:"A woman's bodily integrity, her moral autonomy, her health, her very life depend on whether she has access not just to the right to reproductive freedom but also to the health care and education services that make rights meaningful.
Circumstances do not change that principle. Nor is the human right to
reproductive self-determination divisible. You either have it or you don't. There's nothing mysterious about that." No joke. Check out the whole thing here.

There's nothing mysterious about the fact that women have always had a choice. Women can choose whether or not to get involved in a sexual relationship. Women can choose to have self-respect and not objectify themselves. Women have always had the choice.
Gloria Feldt isn't talking about a woman's options or right to choose. That right has never been taken away. She is talking about the right to kill another human being. No one should have that right. She needs to stop acting like she cares about women's rights. If she did, why would she be so in favor of killing unborn women?

What if they're raped? Victims of incest? What about Bush and the Republicans supporting forced abortions in the Northern Mariana Islands? Are American cells more important than Chinese cells? What about funding care for those children who are born? Or do you only care about that 9 mos. in utero?
Does BEING a victim automatically grant permission to victimize? Unfortunate things happen, YES. But 2 wrongs will never make a right.
What about Bush and the Republicans supporting forced abortions in the Northern Mariana Islands?
Can you state some FACTS regarding this?
A person is a person. It does not matter their origin, nor their ethnicity. It does not matter the country they are from. Each PERSON deserves a chance at life. It is their RIGHT.
And funding for these children- for starters, our gvt. offers decent assistance to the needy. Snicker at that as I assume you will, but it is true. Furthermore, there are MANY MANY families that would welcome a baby into their home via adoption. That is a FACT.
If I only cared about the "9 months in utero" I would not have made this post. Human life- from conception to NATURAL death- is what I care about. Both in utero and beyond. How we care for the human in utero greatly impacts & effects their life after birth. Which goes back to my point that each person should be granted a chance at life. It's not a privelege to be born. It's a RIGHT. And it will NEVER be a person's RIGHT to end a pregnancy because it is inconvenient or a result of unfortunate circumstances. We are not the higher power that knows the significance of that unborn life. It is not OUR place to take that life away. And YES, it IS A HUMAN LIFE. From conception to natural death.
By the way, have some guts and post who you ARE instead of anyonymous.
