I am willing to bet that those fertility drugs stick with you for some time, and while she may not have been using them this time around, they helped contribute to the 4. In my opinion.
But still, sharing a one bedroom apartment? I would say that since her husbands skill of carpet laying is valued just about anywhere, they should look into moving somewhere a little more affordable then East Los Angeles. Good luck to them!
As far as the apt. they reside in, if it works for them, so be it. I agree maybe they could do better in a different location, but I don't know their circumstances- maybe they have family in the area to help? Hopefully they will find a way to move and be more comfortable.
