Patricia Heaton vs. Michael J. Fox

I've long been happy with Patricia Heaton. (not always the condescending wife role she played on Raymond, but that was acting) I was pleasantly surprised the first time I learned of her conservative political stances. And her pro-life stance ranks high on my list, especially with that being a rarity among Hollywood. (If you are unaware of what I am mentioning, do check out Feminists for Life).

I read this on Fox News today: Patricia Heaton: Not Everyone Loves Michael J. Fox.
Patricia Heaton — who won an Emmy for her work on "Everyone Loves Raymond" — is
taking sides in the stem-cell research debate. She’s put herself on the opposite
side of Michael J. Fox, the much-beloved actor who’s been battling Parkinson’s
disease since 1991 and is a firm supporter of embryonic stem-cell research.
Heaton is now appearing in a commercial intended to persuade Missouri voters to
vote against Amendment 2 on their ballot. Heaton’s costars in the commercial are
Jim Caviezel, who starred as Jesus in "The Passion of the Christ," and three
Missouri sports stars — St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Jeff Suppan, former St.
Louis Rams quarterback Kurt Warner (now with the Arizona Cardinals) and Kansas
City Royals designated hitter Mike Sweeney.
And doing the commercial with Jim Caviezel? Perfect. He also has gained much respect among many conservatives.
At the end of the article I read this, "Heaton has absolutely made a choice. The question now is whether her stance in Missouri will affect her standing in Hollywood."
Maybe it will. But would that be so bad? Standing up for life and what you believe in? I don't doubt many in Hollywood would be turned off by this. At the same time, those that know of Patricia Heaton are bound to already be familiar with Feminists for Life, so I doubt it will be much of a surprise political stance.
