"The battle is not over," said Wendy Wright, president of Concerned Women for America. "There are more things we can do and will be doing."
This refers to the battle over Plan B, which is now available over the counter at pharmacies. I share the Fox News article: Over-the-Counter Plan B Now Available in Pharmacies Nationwide.
Customers must be 18 or older to buy it. So far "four states-Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi and South Dakota -specifically allow pharmacists to opt out of providing emergency contraceptives."
Of course I feel that every state should allow for that. If we make so much effort to ensure that minority groups are safeguarded into their lifestyle, not being forced to do something they do not desire, then why should it be different for pharmacists? It seems (unfortunately) that these pharmacists are a minority, after all. Why should they be forced to do something against their wishes, including against that oath which they take as part of becoming a licensed pharmacist?
Enough protecting the "liberals". And in that category, I do include the majority of the people that would be purchasing this Plan B pill. If they can be responsible enough to go get a pill, why can't they be responsible enough to keep their pants up, or take precautions before acting out desires?
