I'm always entertained when lists like this come out. Healthiest state, safest state, richest state...you know you're curious, also. Where does your state fall on the list?
The top 5 Healthiest States are:
Minnesota
Vermont
New Hampshire
Hawaii
Connecticut
I was sad to read, though not surprised, that South Carolina ranks in the bottom 10. It's one of the worst places to live health-wise. I have a lot of family and friends there.
I was happy to read that Ohio was among the states that showed the most improvement, since we now reside in Ohio.

Ugh! It seems like SC is always at the bottom of some list. I can't stand it any longer!! LOL! At least in Charleston, we have one of the premier cardiovascular hospitals in the southeast--MUSC. AND Charleston is continually voted as the Friendliest City in the country. Maybe Charleston should try to secede from SC--oh, wait, we've already tried that once when we seceded from the US. See how well that worked?? Oh well. LOL!!
