I'd Be Proud of My Kid

Virginia School Agrees to Allow Pro-Life Student's Abortion Fliers
Attorneys for a pro-life student have reached an agreement with a
Virginia high school that will allow him to distribute literature opposing
abortion. Millbrook High School officials agreed to a settlement in a lawsuit
over their prohibition of Andrew Raker from distributing pro-life leaflets
outside of class.
Raker had participated in the Pro-Life Day of Silent
Solidarity last October, an event where youth cover their mouths with tape to
"speak up" for unborn children who are silenced by abortion.
Under the terms
of the settlement, Raker will no longer be barred by school officials from
distributing pro-life materials on campus outside of class time.

Last October, Raker wore pro-life clothing and distributed
postcard-sized fliers in support of the event. Millbrook’s principal said his
literature distribution would no longer be permitted because other students
could object or view the material as religious.

Standing up for your beliefs (especially when being the minority) is hard enough as a full-fledged adult. How impressive that this high-school student was being so open about his!

Part of me can't help but wonder-how many students would've been told to put the material away in a Catholic school? Too many, if you ask me.

I wish the Truth could be accepted without worrying about hurting or offending someone. The material he was showing only reflected the truth. It isn't pretty, but it's the truth. Just imagine...

lets just say that it isnt an easy thing to do. lots of peer pressure, and so much stress from being in the media when they are extremely liberal.

Hi Andrew,
By any chance are you the same person from the article?

Well thank you for visting my blog. :) I feel honored.

I am incredibly proud of this student. I wish I could have the same guts. I sure did not while that age, and even now it's still a struggle. What a good start you are off to!

It seems doing which is truly right is never the easy thing to do. It's a shame how biased and liberal the media is, ut each witness like the one in this story only helps.

Thanks again for stopping by.
Have a great Easter!
