Why I Look Forward to Spring-CHBM's Carnival

This week the carnival's topic is "Why I look forward to Spring".

Oh, there are so many reasons!

This year I am most looking forward to spring because our new baby is due. :)

Everyone always comments it's a great time of year to have a baby, and I agree. (not that there isn't a good time to welcome new life!) It fits in well with all the symbolism spring entails-rebirth, nature showing itself again after a long winter, blooming plants, and so on. New creation, new life...my new baby.

Following my new son's birth will be his Baptism. We're blessed, too, because my husband's grandfather is a Deacon, so he will be the one to Baptize Brennan. It's a great family tradition with such sentimentality behind it.

Spring birthdays....my son's, mine, my mom's, and of course Mother's Day is in there, too.

I also look forward to the flowers. I love seeing the tulips and daffodils. Gorgeous gift of nature!

It probably goes without noting that I look forward to that warmer spring weather. I miss being outdoors, going for my long walks, taking my son to the parks to play...I love seeing those pretty flowers on my walks.

And hearing the birds! Isn't it great to hear the birds when you wake up in the morning? Rarely do they sound crabby. LOL. It's a nice welcome to the day. (unless it's before 6:00 a.m.!)

I suppose I welcome spring for the same reasons most people do. Winter lasts too long in the Midwest, and I am ready for spring! There are no big trips or vacations approaching, just the regular aspects of spring that I welcome. There's beauty in that simplicity, too, isn't there?

So share with me. Why are you looking forward to spring? (by the way, you can share your link here.)

My family has spring birthdays, too. This year, it's one big party extravaganza for my son, my daughter, and ME! I loved having spring babies - not pregnant during the hot part of summer, but not bringing baby home in a snowsuit! Congratulations, and enjoy!

Spring IS a totally awesome time of year to have a baby. I love it so much that two of mine are spring babies and if we have another, I'll aim for April/May again if we can! :)

There is definitely beauty in simplicity. Congrats on the new baby to make his appearance this spring :)
