I feel itchy when I say that, or even think it, but it is what it is.
McCain has congratulated him and encouraged his supporters to set aside their differences.
I'll try.
I sure hope Obama makes it easy. Or easier.
Though I did not vote for Obama, and I am fully confident that 4 years down the road I'll still feel he was the wrong choice, I do think it's pretty cool that we're witnessing the inauguration of the very first black President.
Only a few decades ago African Americans couldn't even go to school with white people.
Look at us today.
God help us. God Bless our country. We need it, especially now!
Mr. Obama, please do as little harm as possible.

Amen, Sister.
Sadly, the gloating that I've already seen on blogs and facebook make me very suspect that he will govern from a centralist viewpoint.
It's a tragic day for the unborn.
The next four years are going to be interesting, for sure. I think most of the conservative Catholics I know are in shock. I voted McCain, but saw Obama winning from a mile away. :(
You put into words exactly what I was thinking!!
Very nice post Sharon.
God Bless our Country and I so agree with diva Mom Vicki, it's a very tragic day for the unborn.
You had to wait an hour to vote? I heard on tv some people waited 6 hours. I've never had to wait.
well... I have to say I am proud you will support the president, as you feel about the treatment of Bush we hope the same for the future treatment of Obama.
He has a lot to live up to. The whole world treats him as though he is a God. BUT, he set it up that way. So I don't feel sorry that he has a lot to live up to but I do hope he can live up to most of it.
Even though he wasn't my pick he is our prez soon and I pray he can do good for our country. We need to support whomever is our president and pray for them...pray, pray, pray.
