Yup, you read it correctly- 16th child born to Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar in Little Rock, Arkansas. :)
Most people would be shocked to read this story. Heck, they would've been shocked to read about them after their 6th or 7th kid! (being that many people feel 2 is just right, 3 may be pushing it, and 4, well, maybe you are an odd ball)
Some people would even be appalled, saying things about them having more than they can love, not having enough money, or the fear of this family one day depending on the government for financial aid.
(if you are one of those liberals or narrow-minded folk, please educate yourself- watch their story on TLC or Discovery- they have no debt. And they are also renovating their house, with no government money.)
"The Learning Channel is doing another show about the family's construction project, a 7,000-square foot house that should be finished before Christmas. The home, which the family has been building for two years, will have nine bathrooms, dormitory-style bedrooms for the girls and boys, a commercial kitchen, four washing machines and four dryers."
Personally, I find this story to be uplifting and quite inspirational.
GOOD FOR THEM!
They are a loving Christian couple. They have joyfully surrendered their lives to God's precious plan. They put HIM in charge of their family- including size- the way it should be. What an exceptional thing to see in modern times!!
Oh yea, and this will cause more uprising in liberals' minds- they have already said they would have another, should the Lord bless them with their 17th baby! :)
Way to go! The courage to announce that and humbly accept God's plan- it just puts a smile on my face.
They are an example, and I sure wish I could be more trusting like that.

definatley congrats to them. i am more liberal than you, but i could care less how many kids they have. what's important to me is that they love and care for each of thier children, which looks like they are doing, so congrats!
saw you commented on my blog, and this post caught my eye ;)
Thanks for stopping by!
We share the same thought- as long as those kids are loved and taken care of, good for them! (unfortunately, there are many families I can't say the same for!)
