Synod report calls for teaching about, improving access to Eucharist

VATICAN CITY (CNS) -- "The church must help Catholics understand Christ's presence in the Eucharist to increase their devotion, their participation at Mass and their commitment to charity and justice in the world, said Italian Cardinal Angelo Scola of Venice."

"Catholics need ongoing catechesis so they know what they are celebrating, he said, and priests need better formation so that the way they celebrate, preach and teach communicates the truth about the Eucharist."
"The synod, Cardinal Scola said, called for a renewed effort to explain Catholic faith in Christ's real presence in the Eucharist, to ensure reverence at Mass and to promote adoration of the Blessed Sacrament."

AMEN!!
