Philadelphia P.D. reports that a 5 year old has 8 bags of heroin in his backpack. His teacher found the drugs.
Now obviously, there is the slightest of chances that these belong to the boy. The report said that the mother may be charged. I sure as heck hope so!
How horrible and dangerous this was! A lot worse could have happened. Can you just imagine if any other kindergartners found the heroin? What might it have resembled to them? Would they have tried to eat it or the like?
It is so hard to keep faith in today's parents. When you read things like this, it is so mind-numbing. How sad for this boy.
I hope the department of family can find a much more decent home for him!

Wow! i'm so glad i'm homeschooling... can't imagine my little kindergartener being exposed to that!
Isn't it scary? It seems things are getting worse and worse- including our Catholic schools.
I never thought I'd be one to homeschool- but unless things drastically change in the next 2 years- I WILL BE!! :)
