Where did July go? It sure seems like it flew by. I can't believe it's already August!
August never seemed that exciting to me. Both growing up and as a teacher it always meant the month school started back up. The unofficial end of summer. Hot and humid weather remaining, with the occasional tease of Autumn.
This month was supposed to be exciting, as we were due to have our baby August 18th. Unfortunately that ended in miscarriage back in March. So here we are. It's August already. Hot summer days. Air conditioning that doesn't seem cool enough. A lack of ice cream, but extra fat on the thighs. Hmmm.
I swear time in parenthood goes by faster than any other stage of life. Summer used to feel like forever. Now I'm wondering how the heck we already got to August. AUGUST! We'll be seeing school busses on the road before we know it. And then the holidays will start! It's less than 6 months til Christmas, ya know. ;)
So do you have anything to look forward to this month?
We have a few family birthdays. We also have a wedding and a baby shower. Oh, and two Baptisms. I guess August will fly by, too. And before we know it, September will be here.
