Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Intense pain set in yesterday. Mostly lower back near my right hip. Worse than labor pains.
Called my OB.
Evil nurse practitioner suggested pre-term labor and had me go straight to the hospital. (I asked her if I could avoid that and come there so they could check my cervix...You know what she said?! She said "well what do you want me to do about it?" Can you believe that?)
Pain is getting worse so a friend drove me to the hospital. Hubby met us there.
They took me to LDR right away just in case.
Turns out my OB doesn't even work out of that hospital, even though evil nurse practitioner told us to go there.
Finally after about an hour they were able to give me something for pain relief. Shortly thereafter they told me baby is fine and I was not in labor. (praise GOD!)
The dermerol made me vomit 3 times. That stuff is so loopy.
Ultrasound done to look for kidney stone.
Bloodwork drawn.
Catheter urine sample taken. (ouch and burn!)
IV put in by student-again OUCH! and bruising.
Pain relief switched to morphine.
Urine samples being drained to look for kidney stones.
Finally SLEEP...and pain relief.
We stayed the night in the hospital. Because I am pregnant, they can not perform all the tests they'd normally run to know for sure if it's a kidney stone. It may just be the way the baby was resting and applying pressure on my kidney, restricting urine flow. We can't know for sure.
So I am home now, draining my urine each time I go. Looking for stones.
I pray the worst is over. They said it could happen again. I really hope not. It was pain worse than labor pains.
So 2 days into our new insurance, we've made good use of it.
Happy New Year.

Oh my!
I hope and pray that all goes well for you and your baby boy.
Please keep us posted.
From what you've written about this evil nurse practitioner in the past, I would have to give her a piece of my mind and probably even use a few choice four-letter words.
Continued prayers...
:)
