Good Friday of Holy Week

"God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life" (Jn 3:16).
A Homily for reflection and prayer:
"From the earliest times, this day has been known as Good Friday.
On first glance, it seems a strangely ironic name for such a tragic day. But upon deeper reflection on the Passion story, the name makes ultimate sense. For on this day, God showed us exactly how good he is, and how worthy he is of our total trust: He gave us the very best that he had, his own son.
Speak your thanks to him from deep inside, and entrust to him your life,
your hopes, and your dreams — all that you are, and all that you are yet to be.
God is faithful, and will never betray your trust."
