They Made the "Worst" List

But they're still good in my book. ;)
I'm revealing some of inner-dork here. But yes, I actually do like these songs!

Here is my "They made the list, but I don't think they should be" list:

-#49 Right Said Fred, "I'm Too Sexy", 1992
(Ha! I'm too sexy for this list! So there!)
-#42 Simon & Garfunkel, "The Sounds of Silence", 1965
Their music is just classic. Come on. Forrest Gump agrees.-#41, Billy Joel, "We Didn't Start the Fire", 1989
Puh-lease. This song was, and alwa
ys will be, totally rad.
-#33, Aqua, "Barbie Girl", 1997
Don't know why. The ever-present invitation to party? Hmmm. Maybe more so because my oldest brother (19 years older than me) loved this song. Comical to me.
-#31, Crash Test Dummies, "MMMMMMM, MMMMMMMMMMM, MMMMM", 1994.
No other comment, except it was great because it was so weird. Plus I have memories of hearing it as late as 1999, on a tour bus in Austria!
-#24, Five for Fighting, "Superman", 2000.
Nah. I don't care what the critics say. I like it because of the sentiment of 9/11.
-#20, Lionel Richie, "Dancing on the Ceiling", 1986.
I'm an 80's kid. Who didn't like this song? "Oh, what a feeling..."
-#15, The Rembrandts, "I'll Be There For You", 1995.
FRIENDS. 'Nuff said.-#12, The Beach Boys, "Kokomo", 1988.
Anyone else remember Kermit the Frog singing this?-#5, Vanilla Ice, "Ice Ice Baby", 1990
No way. Without this, Weird Al would've
never done "rice rice baby, to go, to go...". I still play this every once in a while. Oh yea.-#3,Wang Chung, "Everybody Have Fun Tonight", 1986.
Plenty of people still having fun tonight. I think I'll Wang Chung tonight. (ever see 13 Going on 30?)

And now, at the top of what I agree belongs on the worst list:
-"What's Up" by 4 Non Blondes (annoying)
-"I'd Do Anything for Love" by Meatloaf. (Gross. He freaked me out.)
-"Breakfast at Tiffany's" by Deep Blue Something. (played way too much)

I'm with ya on most of those songs. And I do remember the Kermit version of "Kokomo"... LOL!!

The chicken recipe that you commented on over on my cooking blog is one of my new favorites... let me know if you try it! :)
