It was a crappy week, as most of you know. I hate being down & in a bad mood (not like anyone enjoys that!). So today I'm really trying to look on the bright side, and rid myself of pessimistic thoughts. I'm going to think about the good things. Even when we're dealt the worst hand in the world, we still have things to be grateful for, right?
So some things I'm grateful for and that are good right now:
-My boys. I had so much fun watching them play together this morning. Aidan had his Hotwheels out, and Brennan was desperately trying to crawl to get to them. They don't care if we have no working car to go anywhere. Inside can be just as much fun, if not more. They make being inside more exciting (most of the time;)
-My husband is a good man. Aside from the fact that he put up with my immature day-long tantrum & pouting yesterday, he completely cleaned out the fridge today. (and it was gross). He also let me sleep in an extra hour while he kept the boys downstairs. (even though he was exhausted, himself) I really think he's working his way to sainthood at times...
-Honda informed us that most likely our repairs will be fully covered by an extended warranty! That is huge, as this job would normally cost at least $600. HUGE.
-We're still going to visit my family. It may be later than originally planned, but we'll get to see everyone. I am so grateful. Financially speaking we probably shouldn't, but I need to see my family. Plus it's the holidays. We'll deal with the rest later.
-We woke to the most beautifully snow-blanketed scene. I love snowy winter nights. The sky is so bright...it's truly beautiful. We have almost a foot of snow. It is beautiful! It's too cold & windy to play in it today, but I plan to get out there with Aidan this week. So much fun! Snow angels, snowman..here we come!
I do have a lot to be happy about. It's true that when it rains it pours, but what's the other saying? Without the rain, there'd be no rainbow.

I'm so happy to hear that things are starting to look up! It's funny how focusing on the good can make the "bad" seem not so bad...and things really do seem to just work themselves out. I know how much of a relief the car repair expense is (just went through something like this myself :), so I can especially feel your relief on that one! And how great that you'll get to spend that much needed time with family anyway. So happy for you :)
I'm so glad you get to go see your family, and it sounds like good news about your car as well :) Enjoy the snow!!
Glad to hear things are looking better - lol Even though I just posted that last comment. He he!
Even though things are looking so much better, I wish I could help you out. Seriously, I would do whatever you needed us to do. I was telling my husband about your situation and we both would do whatever, it's hard when you live so far.
Oh and for you seeing your family -you do need to see them. I couldn't imagine living that far. *hugs* and I hope you have a safe trip if I don't talk to you before then.
Thank you all so much. :)
I feel very relieved.
It was so nice to know, too, that my "cyber" friends were there to listen and comfort me.
You all are great!
