Picture Overload!! (Birthday Party 2008)

Prepare yourselves for MANY pictures! I tried to limit the number I posted, but that was just too hard. Besides, with excessive amounts of pictures, it makes you feel like you were really there, right? ;)

Aidan loved his Lightning McQueen cakes Aunt Megan made it for him. Isn't she talented? It tasted as delicious as it looked, too.
Of course, Brennan enjoyed his very first cake, too. He always made sure to have a fistful of cake ready for his mouth. Surprisingly, he did not make a huge mess. (I was kinda thankful for that).

The cake actually came after the presents were opened. It just worked out to be better that way this year. I can tell you that these boys of mine are so loved! Everyone was so thoughtful in choosing gifts for them. Some times they get a gift that seems so not them, but not this year. Every single gift was just perfect. We're really blessed to have such loving family & friends.

Opening presents wasn't the only fun thing. :) The day was also filled with ring toss, sidewalk chalk fun, and the first annual Hula Hoop Contest. I must say something here & now: I have more admiration for my mother-in-law now. She won the hula hoop contest THREE times. AND she has rheumatoid arthritis. All I can say is "You go, Georgiana!"!The contest was a blast to watch, so much that I'm thinking of making it an annual tradition.

Another favorite was when Aidan "jammed" with his Uncle Conor. Aidan had been practicing all week, and they sang Life is a Highway together. Aidan had so much fun with that he was just giddy.
