Pack it Up, Hit the Road

And tomorrow we're off!

Thank goodness today has been a gloomy, rainy day. It sure made it easier to stay inside and pack. Rain does such a good job of telling Aidan that the park is not in the plans for the day. In fact, rain does a much better job than I do. So thank you, rain.

We're almost finished packing, the food is arranged and cans of Diet Pepsi chilling in the fridge.
Our plan is to wake up, load the car & hit the road. Breakfast will be eaten in the car, probably consisting of Nutra-Grain bars and fruit or granola bars. I'm ok with that for one day.

Hopefully this will have us on the road by 6:30. I look forward to the scenery, as this is a new drive for us, though parts I've been through before. We'll drive through West Virginia, and that is such a beautiful drive. I'm looking forward to it. :)

Our destination is near Raleigh, North Carolina. We're visiting my brother & his family. Fun story: he married one of my best friend's from college. She & I were actually great friends & roommates before they got married. Pretty cool. Now our kids will be playing together & hopefully getting along. Not to mention I'll finally be meeting my goddaughter!

It'll be a fast trip, as we have to drive back on Sunday. Until then, have a great weekend, and stay tuned for many pictures to come!
