Review: DWTS Premier

I'm glad the show is back. Overall I thought last night's premier was pretty entertaining. I'm feeling that 3 nights a week will be too much, so I'm eager for it to be just twice a week.

Now for the nitty-gritty:
Favorite couple from last night was Lance and Lacey. Hands down! That boy can move, and I was pretty impressed with Lacey's debut. Seeing how talented she is made me irked to think of all the criticism she gained before the show even started. She cemented her place, in my opinion. A pleasant surprise. I really hope to see them make it to the finals.

Most annoying: Cloris. Ok, I'm not picking on her because she's old. I know being 82, that took courage just to get out there. However, I feel like being 82, she should know some tact by now, and I felt embarrassed for her by her actions when the judges were speaking. And poor Corky Ballas. The man has amazing talent, and he's stuck with Cloris, who clearly won't make it to the finals. I would have loved to see Corky with someone with more potential. After all, Corky trained Mark, Julianne, and Derek...look at how awesome they are.
I did like Len's comment to Cloris about minding her cleavage, though. That was a good chuckle.

Susan Lucci was a disappointment. I didn't expect much from her, but I at least expected her to be a little more fluid in her movements. She was so stiff. Yuck. Something about her is quite annoying, too.

Toni Braxton was pretty good. I just hope she doesn't continue to mention her heart condition and a crutch and sympathy votes. By now, everyone knows what it entails to be on this show. She knows her health status. If she can't handle it, don't come on DWTS. Just don't make us listen to you mention it every single week for sympathy votes.

The rest didn't stick out to me too much. I am very curious who will go home tonight, and I'm equally surprised to learn they're doing two dances the first week.

Oh yeah, last thing! Carrie-Ann's hair looks much darker this season than before. I have to say, I don't like it. It seems to make her look too old for herself, more haggard or something. Honestly, at one point she kind of looked like Shannen Doherty. I hope she lightens up a bit. ;)
