Risk of death higher for male drivers
WASHINGTON - That age-old stereotype about dangerous women drivers is shattered
in a big new traffic analysis: Male drivers have a 77 percent higher risk of
dying in a car accident than women, based on miles driven.

A couple of points... that study is based on miles driven, logically the only fair way to compare the sexes, but that also leads one to assume that one sex drives more than the other. Which if men do drive more than women it would show a significantly lower % of male miles driven vs. percent of accident rates. Based on only a 77% index, I bet the male rate is lower than the female rate.


And this one I am likely to believe:
The highway death rate is higher for cautious 82-year-old women than for risk-taking 16-year-old boys.
