Menu Plan Monday--December 10, 2007

Last week's menu consisted of 4 new recipes for us. None of them were a disappointment! I will be posting those recipes. The Oatmeal Pancakes were especially delicious. We had them Friday for dinner, and then again Sunday for breakfast! Yum Yum!!

Other recipe reviews: The Vegetable Couscous was good, but a little bland. I did use a green pepper instead of red, and I think the red pepper would have added better flavor. A do-again for us, but not a favorite. The Vegetable-Cheese Bake was really good. It smelled quite nice as it was baking. A definite do-again. That one will be a meal I make a double batch of, with one to freeze for next time. ;) (Oh, and Diva Mom Vicki-Aidan ate it, too! No problems!) The Chicken Paprika was also excellent. Very good. Definite do-again, as well. I think this one will become another staple meal for us. I just need to buy more paprika now! ;) Good meals. I hope this week is half as good.
Monday: Savory Beef Tenderloin, potatoes, steamed broccoli
Tuesday: Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings
Wednesday:
Bruschetta Chicken Bake
Thursday: Leftover Buffet
Friday: Macaroni-Bean Skillet

I hope this week tastes as good as last week. The beef tenderloin is a new recipe-I look forward to it.

Sharon, you must try the lentil sauce - it is easy to make and so versatile to use. On baked potatoes, pasta, etc. Yum!!

I need to try some of those veggie dishes. My daughter is wanting to try vegetarism and those sound like something she would like.

I think the Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings may be our "Slow Cooker Sunday" meal for this week. BTW, the Santa pics are adorable. Have a great week.

The first thing that came to my mind when I clicked on your blog was the book we are reading, "The Bird's Christmas Carol". Sweet book! I have a banana oatmeal pancake recipe on my blog you might like. Click on recipes in the categories or just search for it. Thanks for stopping by!

We just discovered not too long ago that paprika is great on baked chicken--Yum! I use it all the time now--Sometimes with a few sprinkles of garlic powder, dry ground mustard and salt with a drizzle of olive oil :o) Simple and delicious!
