Until we head to northern Michigan!This is the mini-vacation we're taking this summer, long over-due.
My hubby's grandparents have a gorgeous cabin in northern Michigan, right on Lake Michigan. You walk out the cabin door and you see the Lake. It's so beautiful.
Growing up Patrick went there every summer. Unfortunately, it's been over 4 years since we were there. The last time we were actually at the cabin was August 2001. It was just before he went to Austria for the semester.
We were in Traverse City in 2005, but not at the cabin.
This trip is well past due, and I'm excited seeing how much Patrick is looking forward to this. He can't wait to show it all to Aidan.
Wednesday morning we're heading out, bright & early. It should be a fun trip. We do have the family reunion to go to on Saturday, but we view that as the necessary excuse to go up north, but the boys the perfect reason not to stay too long. ;)
Swimming in Lake Michigan, Sleeping Bear Dunes...here we come!

Oh, and that sign-it's real. We did the dunes when we were there in 2001. Oh. MY. GOSH! Super easy getting down, of course. Super-exhausting climbing back up. Pat thinks he's taking Aidan down there. I think he's crazy. We'd never see them again! lol
