Momcessorie, Momma Love

It's International Babywearing Week!
I wanted to join in on this because I truly do love babywearing. I never wore Aidan (my oldest), and it wasn't until he was a running-around 2 year old that I started to learn more about it.
I owe big thanks to Steph, too. I started reading her blog regularly, and she introduced me to the variety of carriers available. :)

It's crazy to think that when I was pregnant with Brennan, we were trying to decide on which one carrier we'd get. We decided on a Hotsling, and we loved it.
But we quickly learned that the different carriers truly offer other opportunities. A generous friend gave us her Moby Wrap, then later her EllaRoo. Just recently I won a Mei Tai. Look at us now...4 carriers for our collection! :)

My husband and I both used the wrap the most. Brennan would fall asleep in their so quickly, and I found the wrap to offer me the most hands-free option.
I was fortunate to meet with a babywearing group, and there I tried on all the styles of carriers.
The one I don't have that I will add to my collection with the next baby is the Angelpack. Loved that, and couldn't believe the comfort level with that carrier. If that's not within our reach, I'll go for a BECO.

Here are (probably too many) my babywearing pics! Thanks for stopping by and letting me share. :)

Brennan sleeping in the Hotsling at a baseball game
Even our oldest (here 3) wanted to be a proud daddy!
This is the Mei Tai I won. I'm wearing Brennan here at a wedding reception just 3 weeks ago.
Again with the Mei Tai, November 1, back carry.

We even made the paper! (take note the caption is incorrect, though. This is a sling, not a wrap)Looking back on the fact that my first was a colicky baby, I wish I had learned about the benefits of babywearing sooner. Most of all, babywearing is truly not just beneficial for the baby. It is beneficial for the mom, too. Win-win.

Happy Babywearing!

Beautiful carriers. I used a carrier for my two little ones up until they were about 6 mos old. Having your baby real close to you like that makes things a lot easier. Congrats on getting your photo in the paper!

I didn't start baby wearing until my second child either. But with numbers 3 and 4, well, I don't know how I would have ever got anything done without my wrap! I imagine it will be the same with #5. I've never been too adventurous though in trying different types of carriers. I've just stuck with my Maya Wrap, partly because I'm cheap, and partly because I don't like to go out of my comfort zone. I think I'll check some of these links out though. Thanks!

I'm so thankful for you! You are one of the reasons I started babywearing. I love all the photos! I remember when I first started reading your blog you had that picture of you in the paper. I was like "wow, she must be a pro". Love it, love you and love babywearing!

I love your pretty Mei Tai in the picture from the wedding. It is sweet to see your little man wearing his baby too. Hmmm...I need to find a generous friend like yours to pass along some great baby carriers:)

Hi Sharon! I didn't know YOU had a blog either!

I am a big babywearing fan too. Both kids virtually lived in the Baby Bjorn the first several months of their lives. I have a Mei Tai but Joshua was so darn skinny he just flopped around mostly. And saddest of all, I left my Baby Bjorn at the park several months ago! :( I will really miss that darn thing, so many memories!
