Vaccines & Strokes

Phew. I don't know if I really have the energy to even present this topic after getting into a decent "discussion" here, but I found this article to be too significant to not bring it to attention.

Vaccines Cause Micro-Vascular Strokes: Dr. Andrew Moulden, Canadian Doctor

What I find most interesting is that he tried to present his studies and evidence to medical review boards, and they did not even give him a chance. He was turned down without even the opportunity to reveal his findings.
Does that not seem shady?
How is that in society's best interest?

I won't bother citing what I found most important in the article, because it's worth it to read it in its entirety. I will point out that Dr. Moulden has pin-pointed the vaccine additives to be a major problem, leading to those health risks manifesting themselves.

When I first started to research vaccines back in 2003, that was the first point I picked up on. Additives we try to avoid in our daily menu, trying to avoid buy purchasing organic foods, and so on...those same things we try to stay away from are in many of these vaccines. Worst of all, they are sifting through our bodies faster because they are literally being injected into them.

If you get the chance to read the above-mentioned article, leave me a comment with your thoughts. I'm interested!

Flu Shot Season

It's a controversial topic. I've learned that the hard way.
I respect people who choose to get the flu shot. I truly do. At the same time, I would hope people could respect our decision to not get the flu shot, for us or our children.
I've posted before on what is in the vaccine here.

I'm not necessarily trying to persuade a person to not get the flu shot. What I am trying to do is get people to educate themselves before they vaccinate.
In trying to achieve that, I am linking to this interesting video clip and article by Dr. Mercola.
I couldn't find a way to post the video here, but it's definitely worth checking out.

I'd also like to share this from the link:
One credible hypothesis that explains the seasonal nature of flu is that influenza is a vitamin D deficiency disease.

Vitamin D levels in your blood fall to their lowest point during flu seasons. Unable to be protected by the body’s own antibiotics (antimicrobial peptides) that are released by vitamin D, a person with a low vitamin D blood level is more vulnerable to contracting colds, influenza, and other respiratory infections.

He adds in his comments section:

I have not received a flu shot nor had the flu in over 20 years. Here are the other “secrets” I use to keep the flu (and other illnesses) at bay:

Again, I'm not trying to start any debate or war here. To each his own. I'm just trying to help offer information so each person can make an educated decision.

In Vaccine News Today...

FDA Found Concerns at Merck Vaccine Plant
Contaminated children's vaccines and other potentially serious concerns were spotted by federal regulators who combed Merck & Co.'s vaccine plant in the Philadelphia suburbs, according to a published report.
Unwanted fibers on vaccine vial stoppers also were among the areas of concern cited by inspectors from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Fibers? Fibers. Ok...(do I really want to know?)
And notice the article said these fibers were among the areas of concern, most likely meaning there are other areas of concerns (defects) not cited for whatever reason.

Here is another reliable source reporting on this issue-The Wall Street Journal.

"Chiropractic Care for Children Found to be Safe and Effective!"

I was pleased to find this article in my inbox today, especially since last Friday began Brennan's visits to the chiropractor.
Two recent survey studies have shown chiropractic care for children is safe, gets results and offers children unexpected health benefits. One survey included data from doctors of chiropractic and the other survey collected data from parents of children under care.

Both surveys revealed that children experienced added health benefits beyond what they came in for. The three most common additional benefits were: improved immune system function, improved sleep and improved moods in the children.

Remember his sleep issues? Well, they haven't gotten much better, and I recall a few people suggesting the chiropractor. (Carol, who used to run Parenting Decisions...I miss her and her site!). Reaching my breaking point and exceeding my exhaustion levels, I made the call.

I admit I was somewhat skeptical. The chiropractor quickly made me feel comfortable, however. He was great with Brennan, didn't talk down to me or anything, and I was encouraged when he shared with me that they, too, decline vaccines for their children. It's always better when there is a common factor, isn't it?

Brennan has been back once more since then, and we're going again on Friday. I'm not sure how long we'll do this, but he did sleep better and settle down quicker after that first appointment. I am open to this until I see a reason I shouldn't be.

Government Concedes Vaccine-Autism Case

Here is the article in full. I only wish this was published in all of the major papers. Parents deserve to know this! (I shared a few passages here, but do yourself a favor-click on over and read the article in full. It's worth knowing!)

After years of insisting there is no evidence to link vaccines with the onset of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), the US government has quietly conceded a vaccine-autism case in the Court of Federal Claims.

The doctors conceded that the child was healthy and developing normally until her 18-month well-baby visit, when she received vaccinations against nine different diseases all at once (two contained thimerosal).

When a kid with peanut allergy eats a peanut and dies, we don't say "his underlying metabolic condition was significantly aggravated to the extent of manifesting as an anaphylactic shock with features of death."

No, we say the peanut killed the poor boy. Remove the peanut from the equation, and he would still be with us today.

Many people look forward to hearing more from HHS officials about why they are settling this claim. But whatever their explanation, they cannot change the fundamental facts of this extraordinary case:

The United State government is compensating at least one child for vaccine injuries that resulted in a diagnosis of autism.

And that is big news, no matter how you want to say it.

Thank you, David Kirby, for such an educational post.

CDC to Destroy Oldest Smallpox Vaccine

Here is the link.

From the article:
Dryvax was unusually dangerous for a vaccine, blamed in recent years for triggering heart attacks and a painful heart inflammation in some patients.

When I read about vaccines in the news, I try to post it if I can.

"Why Vaccines Aren't Safe"

Good old Dr. Mercola.

Go here to check it out. The video is long, but worthwhile.
To highlight a key point for me: "Meanwhile, ALL vaccines are immune suppressing, which means they depress your natural immune functions, leaving you vulnerable to any number of diseases."

B-I-N-G-O!

Seriously, though. Regardless of whether or not you share my views on vaccines, this video is worth watching. There are just some truths presented you can not deny.

The Right to Choose

I don't want my right to choose taken away from me. That is my right for me to decide what I feel is best for me or my children & family. It is not the governments' place to decide for me.

Do you think this is a pro-life/pro-choice post? It's not. (Besides, I believe the choice in that situation lies in the two people consenting to have relations, not as to whether or not the growing life is a baby. I fully believe in respecting life from conception to natural death).

This is about our right in areas of health care, particularly whether or not we vaccinate our children, partially vaccinate them, vaccinate on an alternate schedule, or don't vaccinate them at all (for informed, educated decisions).

Parents in Maryland right now have been ordered to the courts. Some may even face truancy charges, if their child is not vaccinated: "Any children who still lack immunizations could be expelled. Their parents could then be brought up on truancy charges, which can result in a 10-day jail sentence for a first offense and 30 days for a second."
Hmm. Why is it our nation advocates so strongly the right to deny life, the right to allow people to not work and depend on welfare, the right to abuse our bodies with pharmaceuticals, but yet this same nation wants to deny the right to vaccinate or not? Seems a bit contradictory to me.

Thanks to The Stump for their thought-provoking post on this, as well as Carol's at Parenting Decisions.

In a Nutshell

Every once in a while, we, as parents, get signs confirming we're doing the right thing. When that happens, I think it is so important to grasp on to that feeling-to that sign that reassured you that you have done what is in your child's best interest. Not knowing when that next wave of reassurance will come, it's significant to hold on to those signs until another shows itself.

I felt that wave of reassurance after catching Oprah's show with Jenny McCarthy discussing her son's autism. I watched her again on 20/20 last night.

Thank God for those signs. Parenting is so much striving for what is right, with so little instant confirmation that we are indeed making the right decision.

In a nutshell, I share these quotes with you:
I'm holding on to this until my next wave of reassurance hits me.

HPV Vaccine--THINK FIRST, Parents!

Deaths Associated with HPV Vaccine Start Rolling In, Over 3500 Adverse Affects Reported

"Three deaths were related to the vaccine, including one of a 12-year-old. One physician's assistant reported that a female patient "died of a blood clot three hours after getting the Gardasil vaccine." Two other reports, on girls 12 and 19, reported deaths relating to heart problems and/or blood clotting.

As of May 11, 2007, the 1,637 adverse vaccination reactions reported to the FDA via the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) included 371 serious reactions. Of the 42 women who received the vaccine while pregnant, 18 experienced side effects ranging from spontaneous abortion to fetal abnormities.

One of the major complaints by physicians is that the HPV vaccination program has been implemented before adequate testing has been completed. Long-term effects of the vaccine remain unknown. Many are asking why the seemingly reckless rush?" (can you hear me screaming?!)

I wish it came as a surprise. Truth be told, I was expecting this.

Vaccines: New Survery Findings

Caught this on Mothering.com today:

Among more than 9,000 boys age 4-17, the survey found vaccinated boys were two and a half times (155%) more likely to have neurological disorders compared to their unvaccinated peers. Vaccinated boys were 224% more likely to have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and 61% more likely to have autism.
For older vaccinated boys in the 11-17 age bracket, the results were even more pronounced. Vaccinated boys were 158% more likely to have a neurological disorder, 317% more likely to have ADHD, and 112% more likely to have autism.

Yup. I'd say this is shocking information, but I've read it many times before. While it's no longer shocking to me, it is just as scary and sad.

Read the Mothering clip here.

On the Subject of Vaccines...

In trying to keep this short, let's acknowledge that I've not held back when it comes to my stance on vaccines, the so called "immunization" shots.

This decision is one we've come to after much prayer, reading, research, and thought. It is not a decision we made lightly. Nor did we make this decision based on one person's story we read "online".

Having said all of the above, I want to point out two articles that recently caught my attention.

The first was mentioned over at BusyBusyMomma's blog. The article interestingly enough made an analogy: "Nancy Hokkanen came up with one of the greatest analogies ever to describe the autism and vaccine controversy and how it feels to us parents of kids with autism. She compared it to the Catholic Church's cover up of decades of sexual abuse."

Now after reading just that bit, I became flustered. Being a Catholic, I was defensive, as it seems the Catholic Church becomes an easy target for so many.

This was not about the Catholic Church in that aspect, however. Reading further, I understood it (though still slightly defensive), as the author of this article showed some respect towards the Church.

Aside from that, this was the bottom line: two dangers were/ARE being covered up. The Church has to immediately do something about it. There is law defined and punishment defined. The government & medical pros, however, don't automatically acknowledge there is a problem with the vaccines. It continues to go "covered up". People, mostly defenseless children, continue to go about being harmed by the ingredients of these shots, as well as the amounts "required" at such young ages.

A lot to think about, right?

Well, here's just a bit more for your head.
There has been a standing offer of at least $75,000 to the first medical doctor or pharmaceutical company CEO who publicly drinks a mixture of standard vaccine additives.

$75 THOUSAND. That's a lot of money.
And no one, not one single person in the medical field who proclaims the "safety" of these vaccines, has stepped forward to withstand the challenge.
Hmmmm . Interesting.

Especially when considering what Dr. Mercola points out, "With the average amount of loans for medical students now well in excess of $100,000 you might have thought some doctor would have tried to cash in on this so they could accelerate the payment of their student loans."

So why aren't they? It's safe to inject into the immature immune system, directly into the bloodstream, of millions of babies each year, right? Why can't an adult with a developed immune system handle this?

As usual my vaccine post is longer than I intended. If you've stayed with me this long, thank you. And I hope you have a second to read over some of these articles.

BE INFORMED PARENTS!

Ethylene Glycol

This is the main ingredient in antifreeze. You know, the stuff you put into your vehicle.
It's also an ingredient being used in toothpaste from China. The FDA is advising consumers to get rid that toothpaste, as the ingredient could cause harm to the body. From the article:
The government warned consumers on Friday to avoid using toothpaste
made in China because it may contain a poisonous chemical used in antifreeze.
Out of caution, the Food and Drug Administration said, people should throw away
toothpaste with labeling that says it was made in China. The FDA is concerned
that these products may contain diethylene glycol.

The agency is not aware of any poisoning from toothpaste in the United
States, but it did find the antifreeze ingredient in a shipment at the U.S.
border and at two retail stores: a Dollar Plus store in Miami and a Todo A Peso
store in Puerto Rico.

So it doesn't seem we need to worry. Crest and our other main brands are not included in this list.

I don't just write this to warn you about your toothpaste. As I was reading the article in our paper this morning, a light went off in my head. DING! This was sounding familiar. Familiar, yet something wasn't matching up.

The government is warning us against this toothpaste because of a harmful ingredient it contains: Diethylene Glycol.
What I'd like to know is this: if it's not safe in our toothpaste, and the government will warn us against it in this case, why then will they consider this exact same ingredient safe for injecting into our bodies? Into our bloodstream? This same government is allowing this harmful ingredient to be in many vaccines.

I know. I get too passionate about this and get on my soapbox. I can't help it. It's too serious of an issue for me!
If it's not good, it's not good. Period. It's not safe for one part of the body, and unsafe for the other. It's a hazardous chemical. Yet, this ingredient is found in the DTaP, polio, Hib, and Hep B vaccines. (one of my sources: Dr. Stephanie Cave's book: What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Children's Vaccinations) And each vaccine may only contain a small amount of the Ethylene Glycol, but our babies are told they need these shots over and over again. The amount starts to add up!

I think the CDC and FDA need to get it straight. Don't tell us it's unsafe in one instance, and then continue to allow it to be injected directly in to our bodies in another. Especially when it's our babies we're talking about.

Does anyone else see the irony here? The hypocrisy?

HPV Vaccine

Perry won't veto virus vaccinations bill
AUSTIN, Texas - Gov. Rick Perry on Tuesday said he won't veto a bill that would block state officials from following his order that all sixth-grade girls be vaccinated against a virus that causes cervical cancer.

What I like best of the article, and seems to nail it on the head, is this: "We should not and are now not going to offer the 165,000 11-year-olds in Texas up to be the study group for Merck to find out what the implications of this vaccine would be for these girls," he said. [Republican Rep. Dennis Bonnen]

The study group. Seems to me it indicated uncertainty of the side effects (of course). Yet with all that uncertainty, people are still willing to "mandate" it. Scary.

I also enjoyed this editorial on the subject. "HPV is only transmitted through sexual contact, unlike other diseases for which schoolchildren are required to get vaccines, such as polio and tetanus. The United States has always been on the forefront of vaccination studies and has rightly mandated many inoculations against such easily transmitted diseases. School-age children are simply not at the same risk for contracting HPV as they are for contracting, say, chicken pox. We urge the District and other states to rethink their position on mandating the HPV vaccine."
(can I get an Amen?!)

Notice What It DOESN'T Say?

School vaccine exemptions put kids at risk

No where in the article, in all of their "research", does it state factual events taking place as a result of non-vaxed children. No where have they linked actual instances of a vaxed-child being infected by a non-vaxed. They are presenting the idea.

Sure, in their biased, agenda-driven approach, they write so as to scare people, especially parents, and make those that file for exemptions sound irresponsible. (while with each vaccine, they are adding more money to their wallets)

The article mentions the increase in the number of non-medical exemptions (as if it's a bad thing, of course). If these "researchers" are so smart, why can't they put it together that there have been more exemptions with the increase in "mandated' vaccines?

And the sad, ugly truth....most of these doctors and "researchers" aren't injecting themselves with these same vaccines they are pushing on today's babies.

I always carry on too long on this issue. I guess I can't help it.

Caught FROM the Vaccine

Report: Toddler contracts rare infection
CHICAGO - A 2-year-old Indiana boy and his mother contracted a rare and life-threatening infection from his soldier father's smallpox vaccination, according to a published report.

I realize I sound anti-vaccination. I'm truly not. (I AM opposed to mandatory vaccines, as well as the government's ways of misconstruing the facts on side effects). There is so much media attention on what the CDC says are the benefits of vaccines. I feel it's equally important to make public the risks.

FDA: Rotavirus vaccine may harm infants

As passionate as I am on the subject of vaccines, I couldn't pass up sharing this news story.

Keep in mind, too, that this particular vaccine is very often pushed on premature babies (whose immune systems are even more defenseless against poisons and toxic ingredients). It's also "recommended" for most newborns. Think about that as you read this.

...life-threatening twisting of the intestines in infants vaccinated
against a virus that is the leading cause of early childhood diarrhea. The
condition, called intussusception, is the same that led to the withdrawal of the
first rotavirus vaccine eight years ago.
